Ever thought about combining writing with exercise? Explore how getting active can help to fuel your creativity in this interdisciplinary workshop involving yoga and poetry-writing. Local yoga teacher and published poet Donna Matthew will guide you through a series of physical and creative exercises, which are suitable for all levels, especially beginners!

The session will begin with a moment of stillness and breath, followed by a short period of gentle yoga to both relax and invigorate. This will be followed by a traditional writing workshop comprising exercises to stretch the creative brain and an opportunity to consider specific types of poetic device, using suggested writing prompts. Towards the end of the workshop, participants can choose to share their work or take it home for themselves.

Please note this event will involve some physical movement so wear comfy clothing. All writing materials provided.

Yoga mats will be available to borrow on the day but if you have one at home, please do bring it along.
