Three emerging poets and alumni of the Roddy Lumsden Mentorship – Tim Tim Cheng, Patrick Romero McCafferty and Charles Lang – come together to perform new work that responds to environmental degradation and the climate crisis, imagining a future through and alongside the natural world. Their readings will draw upon common themes such as language and social class, urbanity and rurality, power and capital, but will also elucidate and encourage their differing perspectives and approaches. These are unique and important voices in Scotland’s thriving contemporary poetry scene.
Part of our Oot and Aboot series, which explores the human drive to get out into nature and the transformational impact it has on us.
